Application Open August 24, 2020 – September 2, 2020

Hudson County CARES Act Eviction Prevention Program Guideline

Mayor Gabriel Rodriguez and the Board of Commissioners are proud to announce the Rental Assistance Program for West New York residents who need assistance paying for rent. The program was created in order to prevent evictions from hurting West New York families, and is hosted in conjunction with the County of Hudson. The project is funded by Federal CARES Act funding allocated to the Town of West New York.

West New York Residents are reminded that NO ONE MAY BE REMOVED FROM THEIR HOME FOR INABILITY TO PAY RENT DURING THE COVID-19 EMERGENCY. Executive Order 106, suspends evictions throughout the state, meaning no tenant may be removed from his or her home as a result of an eviction proceeding, with rare exceptions for cases such as when a tenant is violent or endangering other tenants.

To apply, please https://bit.ly/2Q3UFYU to apply directly or call 201.295.5100 for assistance. If your landlord is trying to force you from your home, please call the Mayor’s Office immediately between 9:00AM and 5:00PM Monday through Friday.
