NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING

This Meeting Has Been Cancelled Due To Lack Of Quorum

The Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the Town of West New York have a regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 beginning at 6:30 PM. (No Work Session) via video conference.

In accordance with N.J.S.A. 10:4-8(b), and guidance from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, Division of Local Government Services, this public meeting will be held using remote technology. Be advised that the Board may enter Executive Session to discuss items which fall within an exception of the open public meetings act and permits the Board of Commissioners to have private discussion since it deals with specific exceptions contained in N.J.S.A. 10:4-12(b) including: matters of personnel, matters of litigation, and other matters as rendered confidential by law.

Details on how to access and participate in the public hearing through remote technology are listed herein and will be posted on the Towns’ website at http://www.www.westnewyorknj.org/. Please note, members of the public are strongly advised to submit questions prior to the meeting via email to townclerk@westnewyorknj.org on any matter before the board to allow for any member of the public who may want to participate to do so prior and during the course of the meeting. Participants opting to call in may participate and must raise their hand during the public session portion by pressing star nine (*9). Once recognized by the host, the participant will be allowed to speak for three minutes. Participants will be asked to provide their name and address for the record.

The office of Mayor Albio Sires has designated multiple locations as warming centers:

-430 62nd St

-6100 Adams St

-5800 Jefferson Street 

All warming centers will be open from 9:00AM to 12:00AM.

Mayor Albio Sires and the Board of Commissioners want to inform residents of the following temporary parking restrictions to help keep traffic moving and allow crews to work safely and remove snow:

✅ Effective immediately: No parking along the entire length of Bergenline Avenue

✅ Tuesday, 1/27 starting at 6:00 AM: No parking on 60th Street (Bergenline Ave to Park Ave)

✅ Wednesday, 1/28: No parking along the entire length of Park Avenue

🚸 Ongoing reminder: No parking in YELLOW school zones near all schools

Please plan ahead, move your vehicles accordingly, and help avoid towing or citations. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping keep our community safe.
