Attention West New York Residents: The Town is closely monitoring the forecast for a coastal storm expected to impact our area on Sunday and Monday. Heavy rain, strong winds, and coastal flooding are all possible with this system.

West New York Food Protection Course 

West New York will host a Food Protection Course that trains individuals in food protection practices to ensure the safety of the food served in food establishments. The NJ Health Code requires at least one supervisor certified in food protection on site whenever a food service establishment.

The course in English will take place on September 30th & October 1st. The course in Spanish will take place on October 2nd & 3rd. Don’t hesitate to contact West New York Health Department to reserve your spot if interested.

Help us preserve Braddock Park for the residents of our local communities and tell the Department of Environmental Protection that they should not approve a proposed 200 student school in our beloved county park.

WNY Pool will open this Memorial Day Weekend!

Mayor Albio Sires and the Board of Commissioners are proud to announce the West New York Swim Club (Town Swimming Facility) will be open for the 2025 Summer Season Memorial Day Weekend. Located on Anthony M. Defino Way (60th Street, between Boulevard East and Port Imperial Boulevard).

Open to West New York Residents Only and Free of Charge. Proof of WNY residency must be presented by all attendees ages 13 and up. Individuals that are under the age of 13 do not need to show proof of residency, but must be accompanied by an adult.

The facility will be open on weekends only until mid-June. We will then open every day and closing on Labor Day.

Swim Club will be open on Weekends,10AM-8PM. Weekdays, 10AM-8PM. Weather Permitting.

Miller Splash Park will also open Memorial Day Weekend.  Please enter on Adams Street (5812 Adams Street).

No Parking on Boulevard East (both sides of the street) from 6AM-11PM on Thursday, July 4th, 2024.

Mayor Albio Sires and the Board of Commissioners want to make you aware that there will be no parking on Boulevard East (both side of the street) from 6AM-11PM on Thursday, July 4th, 2024.

In addition, we will close both Boulevard East and River Road to traffic starting at 4PM on July 4th.

After 11 years, the Macy’s Fireworks display is coming back to the Hudson River.

Our main goal is to ensure that emergency vehicles (Police, Fire, and Ambulance) can move easily through the town. We want to ensure everyone has a safe day. 

While road closures might be inconvenient, they are necessary because of the number of people coming to WNY and the surrounding area to view the fireworks. We are doing everything we can to avoid traffic jams and gridlock. We strongly suggest that residents stay in town and enjoy the fireworks.
