The foregoing Ordinance was adopted for first reading by the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the Town of West New York, New Jersey, on July 15, 2026 and ordered published, for consideration before final passage at a public hearing on August 5, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. held remotely or in person. Instructions regarding attendance and participation in the Ordinance has been posted on the bulletin board upon which public notices are customarily posted on in the Town Hall of the Town of West New York, and a copy (at no charge) is available up to and including the time of such meeting to the members of the public of the Town who shall request such copies, at the Office of the Town Clerk in said Town Hall in West New York, N.J.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MADISON STREET REDEVELOPMENT PLAN (6205-6219 MADISON STREET & 6301 MADISON STREET REAR) Summary: Ordinance amending the Madison Street Redevelopment Plan for properties located at 6205–6219 Madison Street and 6301 Madison Street Rear. The amendment revises the permitted accessory uses within the redevelopment area to include professional offices, art studios, and tutoring facilities, and establishes prohibited uses, including spas, massage parlors, and tattoo parlors. The ordinance also provides for Planning Board review, updates the Town’s zoning regulations to reflect the amended redevelopment plan, and takes effect in accordance with applicable law.
