If you pay the fine, that means you are pleading guilty to the violation.
Payment Options:
- In person by cash, check, money order or card with proper identification.
- By Mail with a check or money order made out to the West New York Municipal Court
- Online: www.njmcdirect.com
The judge has the authority to grant payment plans. If you need more time to pay, please request a court date.
Dispute a ticket (Plead not guilty)
If you are pleading not guilty, you are disputing the violation and will be heard by the municipal judge.

- Fill out the Virtual Court Request Form (Spanish)
- Email court@westnewyorknj.org with the following info
o Name of vehicle’s registered owner
o Date of birth
o Current address
o Phone number
Request a different court date
You can ask for a different court date if you cannot attend on the assigned date by calling 201-295-5195 or emailing court@westnewyorknj.org. Court staff will send a new court date using your provided contact information. All changes to addresses, phone numbers and/or email addresses must be reported to the court.

What to Expect in Virtual Court
When you come to court:
- If possible, download Zoom before your court date. Be sure to grant Zoom permission to use your device’s camera and microphone.
- Cases are heard one a time. We thank you in advance for your patience.
- You have successfully connected when the Opening Statement video is playing. Please remain connected until the judge admits you to the session.
- Try to avoid disconnecting as you may lose your place in line.
- Court staff will message you with questions or updates, be sure to look for the chat options.
