End of the Year “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” Statewide Campaign

AAA - 12/1/2017 10:35:00 AM

Law enforcement officials from the Town of West New York will be cracking down on drivers impaired by alcohol or drugs as part of the annual end of year “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” statewide campaign. Beginning on December 8, 2017 and continuing through January 1, 2018, local and state law enforcement officials will conduct saturation patrols and sobriety checkpoints looking for motorists who may be driving while intoxicated.

The national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” effort endeavors to raise awareness about the dangers of impaired driving through a combination of high-visibility enforcement and public education. “During the last five years New Jersey has experienced nearly 40,000 alcohol involved crashes resulting in more than 750 fatalities,” said Felix E. Roque, M.D., Mayor of the Town of West New York. “This is a critical law enforcement program that can save lives during a time of the year when impaired driving traditionally increases by nearly 10 percent.”

Adult Free Vaccines - Upcoming 2018 Schedule

Health - 11/21/2017 11:58:52 AM

Attention: Due to a low volume of resident response and a nursing shortage we will no longer be able to make monthly site visits for the Free Adult Vaccine Program. We will be replacing the current process with a monthly program at our Union City Public Health Department.

We will complete the November schedule, not have any service in December and begin the new schedule in January 2018.

Wishing you a happy and blessed holiday season!
